This is a great apartment well-situated for easy access to all parts of the city (Kleistpark, Bülowstraße, and Yorckstraße are all within 3-10 minutes by foot). The location is quiet and cozy, while also being in proximity of Akazienstraße and Nollendorfstraße to the south and west, respectively. A Lidl is around the corner for quick provisions, as are multiple Turkish grocery stores. Farther down Hauptstraße is one of the larger (East) Asian supermarkets in Berlin.

As a base for my shorter-term research stay (approx. 4 months, though less when one subtracts frequent travel), I found the apartment perfectly suited to my needs. It comes fully equipped and well-furnished, allowing one to settle in comfortably and efficiently. The large windows and balcony seating permitted plenty fresh sunlight in the morning, and a spot for private relaxation in the evening. A cleaner comes once a month to tidy up.

There are perhaps only two disadvantages that come to mind. First, the apartment is on the small side for long-term stays. Second, and related to this, the apartment is definitely small for the price.

However, I found it worth compromising over these points, not only because my stay was limited to the summer, but above all because Constanze is an amazing landlord. Ever prompt, attentive, and understanding, she provided immediately for my every request. Her dedication to make my time in Berlin as smooth as possible was easily worth the extra price of rent.

In short, unless you have a fixation upon a specific location (e.g., you have to be in Prezlberg, Kberg, Neukölln, or some such condition), or else plan to live in Berlin long-term, I would recommend this apartment as an excellent choice.
