Sunny and furnished apartment with vintage flair and loggia (rent incl. utilities)

Very nice and bright apartment with hardwood floors in a quiet side street and historic building to let from Mai 2018. The apartment has 2 rooms and a large kitchen/living room as well as loggia with view to the TV-tower.

The apartment was recently decorated (2015 & 16) and is therefore in a very good condition. All rooms have nice hardwood floors. Amenities: Fully equipped flat (bed linen, towels, dishes, cooking equipment etc.). The large kitchen/living room contains all amenities (dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, wooden table). The lounge has a sofa, sideboard, piano and desk. The furniture in the apartment is selected with care and contributes to the flair of the apartment. The bedroom is south facing with a double bed and built in wardrobe. The current layout of the flat is a large kitchen, a lounge and one bedroom. If you require a second bedroom it is possible to use the lounge as a bedroom. As the kitchen is quite large it can work as a kitchen/lounge. The tiled bathroom has a bathtub, shower, and window. A washing machine and Internet are provided. The apartment is a non-smoking area.

The apartment is located on the „Rote Insel“ – Red Island in Schöneberg and is characterised by its proximity to the Gleisdreieckpark, Südgelände area and Viktoriapark. It is located between the popular Akazien- and Bergmannkiez. Schöneberg is an old West Berlin district, with legendary bars, nice restaurants, cafes and a growing number of well-designed parks and art galleries. For young families the area is ideal due to the large number of playgrounds and kindergardens.

The connection to public transport is very good. S-Bahn Julius-Leber-Brücke is a 7-minute walk away and to U-Bahn Kleistpark (U7) it's a 10-minute walk. You can cycle through the attractive Gleisdreieckpark to Potsdamer Platz in 15 minutes, alternatively it is 3 stops by public transport (4 to Brandenburger Tor). The apartment is very close to several supermarkets (Edeka, Mitte Meer, Aldi, Lidl, an organic store and a fruit and vegetables market). ). Around 15 minutes by public transport to Berlin School of Economics and Law, 25 minutes to Humboldt and Technische Universität; 30 minutes to Freie Universität. Good location for the Staatsbibliothek (14 minutes).

The desposit for the flat is 2900 Euros.

About Me
I am a visual artist and have worked as an artistic assistant to an international master programme in public art. Currently I am involved in education around food waste as well as pursuing my artistic work. Furniture and designing space is something I feel passionate about. I have put lots of care into furnishing this apartment. It is a great space and neighbourhood to live in; calm and very light in an district where there is lots of movement and things to discover while you still feel the presence of “old” Berlin as for example from the 80s.
