About Me
Seth is a professor of Service Learning and Director of the Service Learning Institute at California State University, Monterey Bay. Naomi is a grants administrator, working with the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries. We have traveled quite a bit, as Seth was a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali, West Africa, and we both worked as documentary filmmakers in South Asia and Central America. We also spent a year on sabbatical in Cape Town, South Africa where Seth was a Fulbright Scholar. We live in Monterey, CA, but also have an apartment in Boulder, CO, where Seth grew up. We have two adult daughters, one in Colorado and one in Israel.

Inside, this was the noisiest condo we have ever rented. The washing machine sounds like an airplane taking off. You can hear other tenant’s air conditioning units (on the roof) droning throughout the condo, especially in the bedroom. Because the maintenance closet abuts a living room wall, the hot water heater and air conditioner/furnace are unbelievably loud. The air conditioner, when on, feels and sounds like you’re in a room with a car wash hot air dryer going full blast. Unfortunately for us, the downstairs unit’s AC on the roof broke and needed to be replaced, and due to this, for two weeks (once for sixteen hours straight) we endured an almost unbearable racket and irritating vibrations.

Response from Homeowner: We have rented our "Dakota Nest" condo consistently for five years through a variety of rental agencies. We have received many reviews, and every one has been stellar. We are truly sorry that Michael had such a negative experience. The AC issue on the roof has been resolved. We are currently living in the condo and find it absolutely delightful. It is quiet and comfortable.

Dakota Nest is a lovely, well equipped condo which has met our needs perfectly for a prolonged stay in Boulder. It is situated in a new neighborhood in North Boulder which turns out to be a great location. It is only 20 min to our son's home in South Boulder. The unit is quiet and comfortable. There are fantastic views to the north, west, and south --- particularly appealing to cloud enthusiasts and nature lovers. The unit has been tastefully decorated and is supplied with virtually anything one needs for a few months. We've enjoyed some of the nearby eateries - especially Proto's Pizza and Spruce Confectioms (bakery). Lastly, the Pollack Family have been easy to work with in confirming the dates of our stay. We will definitely contact them again if we return to Boulder for another prolonged stay. Excellent Marsha 12/7/2017 6:25:00 PM
