High Ceiling Fully Furnished One Bedroom Loft in Clinton Hill (Brooklyn)

We are looking to sublet our beautiful loft/apartment in Clinton Hill for 1 week between August 21st and August 28th 2019.

The apartment is located less than 10 minutes walk from Classon Av. stop on the G line. Close to restaurants, shops, transports, and so on.

The apartment consists of a kitchen/living room space, a working/studio space, a bedroom, and two bathrooms (one with shower, one with bathtub). Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer in the house, AC, internet, sound system. We have a 2,5 year old toddler, so the house is also fully equipped in terms of baby stuff (just in case!).

In the building, you'll have access to: a garden, a gym, and a play room (for kids). The super lives on the premises, and there is a 24/7 reception/doorman.

We love our home, and we are looking for someone who will enjoy the space and look after it as her/his/their own. The place is fully furnished - couch, sofa chair, dining table, queen bed, baby bed + changing table, study desk. My partner is an artist and her studio, which features many shelves and a large table surface is ideal for writers and visual artists to work in. As long as your process is not toxic or wet, it would serve as a great work space. The rent is $150/night or $1000 for the entire week. We are also asking for a deposit, just for peace of mind.

If interested, please don't hesitate to email me for more info (with a few words about yourself of course :)

Additional photos/info available upon request.

About Me
Hi list! My name is Louis and I'm a 32 year old PhD candidate in ethnomusicology at Brown University in Rhode Island, USA. I hold a B.A. in Music Studies and an M.A. in Ethnomusicology from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. I specialize in the musics of Central Asia and the Middle East, with a strong emphasis on Iran and the wider Persian speaking world. Additionally, my interests extends to West Africa and the Maghreb. My current research interests include the role of Jewish performers in the development of urban music in Muslim societies, the impact of cultural policies and NGOs on local music practices, the relationship between music, politics, and religion; and the links between music and identity in diaspora communities. My doctoral research project focuses on music and black identity in African-descent communities in the Persian Gulf. Prior to Brown, I worked in the field of cultural development through various projects focusing on the preservation, revitalization, and development of tradition-based music in West Africa, Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia. For three years, I acted as Programme Consultant for the Aga Khan Music Initiative (AKMI) in Geneva, Switzerland, a nine-country music education programme with performance, outreach, mentoring, and artistic production activities.  I'm originally from the French speaking part of Switzerland, and I moved to NYC five years ago after spending seven years working/studying in London, UK. My partner, Golnar, is an Iranian-American mixed media visual artist. We have a 9 months old daughter, Assia.
