This party posted the following feedback for me:
'Carol is lively, smart, creative and energetic, & a wonderful gardener as well as a fabulous cook. She's super responsible and reliable, and her house is a unique gem tucked into the woods in a great location. '

I am a professor who has been on sabbatical in the Triangle area for the academic year. I found this listing after dissatisfaction with another rental in Chapel Hill. This place is a paradise. Nestled in the woods at the end of a mile-long private road on 10 acres of land, it is quiet, secluded and private. The house was originally occupied by a couple and then modified to accommodate a renter. It is the original bedroom of the builders of the house, decorated with artwork, tall ceilings, with fresh circulating air. There are large windows on both sides of the room looking out into the garden, but because of the house design, the view in and out is private. The bathroom is freshly renovated and large and the kitchen (added on when the place was converted for an apartment) well equipped. The renter should note only that the kitchen sink is a second sink in the bathroom (only a small inconvenience). There is a large walking closet with room for storage as well as plenty of hanger space. The room is furnished with tasteful locally crafted furniture. A comfortable bed, plenty of bookshelves. There's plenty of light, both natural and from well designed track lighting and lamps. The landlady is friendly and helpful. A pleasure to visit with and also respectful of your privacy. The neighbors are friendly as well and one feels secure in the neighborhood because everyone knows one another. Living in this place has been one of the finest aspects of my very fine year living in the area. I've never rented a nicer place. Excellent Richard Wolf 5/21/2019 5:36:00 PM
A beautiful house on a very secluded street very close to the I-40 and I-85 split outside Hillsborough. I received a visiting faculty line and I needed a fully furnished place for the academic year. I was able to arrive with just a car load of possessions and I immediately felt at home in a very serene environment with large windows looking out on gardens and nature. Carol is very attentive: she made adjustments to the apartment to meet my needs. At first I was worried that the house might be too remote as it is in the country, but my drive time was short as it is so close to the highway. There are many restaurants and several grocery stores within a 5-10 minute drive. I only left because I bought a house when my position was made permanent. I would highly recommend this rental.
