We are offering for rent a 3 bedroom home in the quiet leafy suburb of Coorparoo, Brisbane. The property has polished timber floorboards, carpeted bedrooms, open plan lounge and dining, large north facing covered outdoor deck with leafy outlook. The home is fully furnished to a high standard and includes a fully equipped kitchen, 40” Sony LED TV with Sony Blu Ray player, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a separate guest room/study & toilet downstairs. The property has ceiling fans and being situated on the side of a hill receives excellent breezes. A reverse cycle aircon makes it comfortable in Winter. There is an under house lockup for one car and an off street parking space for a second car. The yard is low maintenance with established citrus and nut trees.
An excellent primary school, Coorparoo State school is only a short 3 minute walk away. The large back deck with gas barbecue overlooks a fully fenced private garden. A two minute walk down the hill leads you to a boarded walkway across duck ponds.
The home is located only 4.5 kms from the CBD of Brisbane with major bus route stops only a few minutes walk away so there are many convenient public transport options available. A three minute walk also takes you to the Martha Street Precinct which has a bakery, cafes, restaurants, yoga studio and specialty shops. Convenient to Princess Alexandria (PA) & Mater Hospitals.

We stayed in this beautiful house for one year during our stay at UQ Herston and had a great experience. The remodeled Queenslander is in great shape and very tastefully furnished, all appliances are in excellent condition. Coorparoo is a great neighborhood for families with excellent schools and good public transport options. Michael and Heather were very easy responsive, friendly and easy to deal with. This apartment was excellent. We stayed here for 6 months with our 4 year old, whilst my wife worked at the local hospital and I was at QUT. The apartment was a great size, and had all the furnishings and accessories required to make this our temporary home. All we needed was to bring our clothes. All the other residents we met were very friendly and welcoming, and we often spent the afternoon in the pool with the other families. The location was great. There are 3 bus lines which are within 50 meters of the apartment, buses being the main mode of public transport in Brisbane. It was also a 15 minute walk to South Bank, West End and Mater/Lady Cilento Hospital - all things to keep us occupied and entertained. We barely used our car because of the close location to everything. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting a great apartment to call your temporary home whilst you live in Brisbane. Our family of three stayed in this lovely Coorparoo home while on sabbatical in 2016. We can't say enough good things about the house and Mike and Heather as hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Coorparoo.

The house is comfortable, beautiful, well furnished, and close to everything. The interior is freshly painted and has intricate wood accents that really set off the decor. All appliances and furnishings are top quality and in great condition. Everything worked perfectly during our yearlong stay. The house has everything needed to live comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary food preparation, serving, and entertaining items.

It's a short five-minute walk to one of the nearby bus stops and then just one bus ride to the Brisbane CBD or any of the major universities. For example, it takes just 20 minutes door-to-door to get to UQ from the house. The Coorparoo area allows convenient access to any of the major motorways and the airport (15 minutes for the latter).

Mike and Heather were great to work with. They were very responsive to our initial queries, provided a thorough orientation to the house, and answered our subsequent questions quickly and completely. They even suggested several of their favorite activities, including the fantastic Fraser Island.

In short, we had a wonderful experience in this home. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our yearlong sabbatical.

My family (2 adults and 2 children) had the privilege of staying in the historical Torbreck building for 6 weeks while our house was being renovated. The unit is spacious and breezy and has been tastefully fitted out with a blend of retro furnishings and modern conveniences. It is so close to West End, South Bank and the City and we made the most of exploring the area. Mike and Heather were so easy to communicate with and had thought of everything to make us feel welcome and have a comfortable stay (eg coffee pods for the machine). Having a secure car park so close to the city, a beautiful pool and awesome views from the observatory made our stay really special. We LOVED our time at Torbreck and I made my husband promise that one day we will return there. We highly recommend it! Thanks Mike and Heather for having us stay in your unit.
