2 Bedroom House in thriving village close to Oxford, all inclusive

A 2 bedroom modern end-terrace, tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac in the village of Eynsham, a very short commute from Oxford centre and the train stations for London. We've had people stay from Brazil, the USA, Spain, the Netherlands, and even the UK, and they've all enjoyed their time.

It's fully furnished and everything is provided, including all utilities, bed linens, towels etc. and unlimited wifi broadband. It is a very comfortable home, and a great spot from which to enjoy Oxford as well as the rest of rural Oxfordshire.

The house is available for long or short term rentals. It has a modern interior, with a lounge/diner downstairs that leads through patio doors to the small enclosed garden. There is a separate well-equipped kitchen, including full cooker, washing machine, and fridge-freezer. There is also a second toilet. Upstairs the principal bedroom has a double bed and wardrobe, with views over the garden. There is a second bedroom to the front of the property with another double bedroom and further storage. Please note the photos were taken before blinds were installed - so there are blinds on the bedroom windows for privacy! And there is also a modern bathroom fitted with bath and shower.

There is a gravel driveway directly outside the property with parking for two cars.

The village of Eynsham, Oxfordshire, is situated only four miles west of Oxford. It is one of the more thriving commuter villages, with all essential amenities including a small supermarket, separate butchers, bakers and grocers, pharmacist, Post Office, wine cellar, coffee shop, and numerous restaurants and pubs. There are also larger supermarkets in close proximity in Witney.

It is very straightforward to reach Oxford by public transport. There is a cycle path from the village that leads all the way to central Oxford for the university. There are two regular buses that connect the village to Oxford (via Stagecoach, the S1 and S2). The S1 also goes to the train station for access to London.

My wife and I both did our DPhils at Oxford (Green and Queen's respectively). I studied Classics and now write independently, while my wife works in the private sector. My wife and I spent the most enjoyable three months in this comfortable and efficient townhouse. The space is bright, airy and efficiently heated. Light comes into the two bedrooms from large windows. The full-length glass doors and two skylights give sunlight to the living and dining area downstairs. It is a great place to come to at the end of the day, and perfect for working at home.

The furnishings are understated and comfortable. The bathroom upstairs and guest toilet downstairs are clean and easily maintained. The modern kitchen is easy to use, having an electric oven with gas cooker plus more than enough cutlery, utensils and dishes for two people and their occasional guests. (A microwave oven would have been a welcome added convenience for us).

The view outside is in three directions, since this is an end unit. We were there in the Autumn and enjoyed the beautiful foliage which could be seen from any window. We also admired the birds in this quiet and attractive neighborhood in Eynsham. Walks around the village rewarded us with views of old thatched cottages, stone churches, and open green fields beyond the trees.

The shops and post office in this charming English village are a comfortable walk away, as is the bus stop for the S1. The bus takes about twenty minutes to get to Oxford.

We felt at home here. The house more than lived up to the photos and descriptions posted on the website. The landlord, Ben, is so kind and thoughtful, and made us feel welcome. His relaxed business style made for a congenial experience. We wish we could have stayed longer.

I spent 10 months at Ben's house while I was a lecturer at Uni Oxford. The house is excellent! Perfect for a couple or even for a single person. I lived alone for a while and I loved it! I am an academic and the house is wonderful to work from home. All the rooms are new, bright, and comfy. It is very easy to go to Oxford city center by bus, bike or car. I used to catch the bus 18 (jus 3 minutes from home!) to work at University. The S1 runs every 15 minutes too. you will also find good shops in the village. I really felt I was at HOME. I had lived in Summertown for three years before moving to Eynsham, and despite the fact I loved Summertown, I havent missed it while I was at ben's house. with the 18 bus, I could reach Summertown shops in 8 minutes! I miss a lot that house! on top of that, Ben is a great landlord. As the house is super new, you will need to contact him actually, but once we had a problem (our fault actually) and Ben came to see us at the weekend. He is super polite, calm, and kind.
