Old Town Adjacent Home for Rent

We love living in Fort Collins and have found Colorado State University and the academic community to be a fun, tight-knit and interesting community. Our cozy bungalow in in Fort Collins is less than 1 mile from the university (but fortunately not in the area where most undergraduates or students live!) and it's about a 2-3 minute walk to the Spring Creek Trail, which is a major biking/walking/running trail. That also means direct from our door we have great access to nature, the fantastic Fort Collins bike network and all the parks and open space to enjoy around town. We also have a local brewery in walking distance down the street, if that's of interest! We find that this is a great place to unwind and think, or be as social as you want to be with lots of amenities nearby. The backyard is large and relaxing (small zen garden, fire pit area, raised beds, pergola and patio deck).

This 1950s bungalow has original wood floors and craftsman details like arched doorways and unique light fixtures and finishing details. This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home that's ideal for a couple or an individual or even a couple with a young child. Larger families will probably need more space but the outdoor area is quite spacious. Home includes a gas range, heat/air conditioning, automated landscape irrigation system, and a recently renovated kitchen and bathroom.

We are located on a pretty quiet street but we are a less than 10 minute bike ride from downtown Fort Collins and the Maxline (public transit) is a 10-15 minute walk. Rental price includes lawn/landscape care and snow removal.

We are willing to entertain multiple lease lengths, but would ideally like a Jan 2018 start.

About Me
I am a evolutionary biologist working with the US Geological Survey and Colorado State University on wildlife genetics projects and my wife is an economist that works with an international non-profit on sustainable agriculture and international development. We met at Cornell University where my wife was in graduate school and I was a post-doc. We enjoy gardening, hosting dinner parties and rock climbing. Per the 'rules' of living in Colorado, we've enjoyed running triathlons and competing in some local and state-wide cycling races.
