Our apartment is nestled on a quiet street that ends on glistening Sydney Harbour (250 metres away). Our apartment is fully-furnished on the first floor in a secure, quiet building of 7 apartments - it has 2 bedrooms - main has a queen bed and built in wardrobe, flatscreen tv and dvd player. The second room has a double bed and single bed as a bunk style. There is a spacious dining and living area also with a flatscreen tv and dvd player. There’s a dining setting and chairs for 6 and a fully stocked linen press. There is also a desk that others have enjoyed using as a workstation (WIFI is all set up) in the corner of the living area - by the windows where the afternoon sun streams in. There’s a modern kitchen, attractive bathroom with separate shower and bath, and reverse cycle air conditioning. It’s been freshly painted and carpeted throughout.

It is just 3kms from the centre of Sydney yet is surrounded by trees -we often get beautiful rosellas on our balcony, which is a nice secluded spot great for a drink

There is a commercial car share where you can hire a car (from the GoGet program) based on our street 2 minutes walk from the unit, and to get to the main bus stop is about a 75-metre walk. Alternatively, we are well serviced with Uber and Taxis.

It is very well placed for reaching the city (3kms away) - we like that the centre of town is an easy, quick bus or light rail trip away, or indeed an interesting walk if you have a little more time (approx. 40 mins to Circular Quay, less so to Chinatown and the city centre). We are also very close to a major Sydney hospital (Royal Prince Alfred) and the University of Sydney, University of Notre Dame and (University of Technology, Sydney) UTS are 2 kms away. Buses are available from the end of our street and take 10 mins to the University of Sydney and 10-15 mins to UTS during peak times. Buses also leave every 10-15 mins during this time also. Those three universities can be reached by foot in an easy walk in under 25 mins.

The harbour is at the end of our street which is bound by a fantastic walking/ jogging and cycling track, and an expansive park with kids' playgrounds. Our apartment is 50 metres to Glebe Point Road where there is a terrific Sri Lankan, convenience store, pharmacy, boutique bottle shop, chic wine bar and high-end bistro (Glebe Point Diner) Keep walking for 5 mins and you'll come to the local shops incl supermarket, gourmet butcher, baker, deli (with lots of home cooked meal options), green grocer, pub, takeaway Japanese, fish and chips place, pizza, Italian café, South American bakery.

The tramsheds dining precinct is 600m away and a pleasant 7-minute walk. It has 12 restaurants, bars and cafes along with a supermarket, nail bar and gym. It is a great option for a walk and gelato or a fantastic Egyptian or Vietnamese dinner http://www.tramshedssydney.com.au/

We are 20 mins walk from the Sydney Fish Markets which has fresh seafood available daily - a further 10 mins walk and you're in Darling Harbour (both destinations are also on the light rail which connects Glebe to the centre of Sydney). Broadway, our nearest shopping centre is just over 1km down the road (a 20 min straight walk or 10 mins on bus) and has cinemas, a food court and anything you would want to buy http://www.broadwaysydney.com.au/

The 370 bus is available from Glebe which takes you directly to Coogee Beach.

There are vibrant lively markets every Saturday with food, music and quirky gifts down the road and you are spoilt for choice if Pilates, yoga or bookshops are your thing....

In short, it's an interesting place with a very up-beat and friendly feel to it, that we love! It is not our primary home so are able to offer it for extended periods

Please do have a squiz at some reviews as it may help further paint the picture for you,

Look forward to hearing from you...

We spent a lovely three months in this well-located apartment. Within a block, there is a bus that runs into the city, and just up the street there is another that runs to Coogee Beach. Glebe is a wonderful neighbourhood, with numerous shops, cafes, and restaurants from all over the world within a 15 minute walk of the apartment. There is also a convenient bottleshop; the Tramsheds is a collection of restaurants and businesses, including a full-service grocery store is less than 10 minutes away. It is also just a few minutes walk to Blackwattle Bay, with gorgeous views of the city and the ANZAC bridge. There is a park that runs around the bay with paths for walking and biking. The apartment is clean and spacious, with lots of natural light. The neighbours are friendly, our hosts were gracious, and the streets are safe and clean. We loved our stay in Glebe, and would count ourselves lucky to stay there again if the opportunity arose. Excellent travelling canuck 12/27/2019 12:15:00 PM
Michelle and, later,Chris welcomed us to the apartment and there were flowers and a very comprehensive range of food and drink for us when we arrived.Everything was explained and lots of information was available on the area and Sydney in general. The apartment is spacious and comfortable with everything provided and it is situated in an interesting and attractive area.Shops, cafes, transport are all close and the bay and lovely walks are just down the road. We had a great time and often saw Michelle and Chris who live close by and were most anxious to ensure we had a wonderful holiday. We really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend the apartment. Pat and Maura Excellent Wolfie 2/5/2014 9:21:00 AM
We had a wonderful stay in this flat. It is spacious, clean and extremely well equipped. Michelle and Chris went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the lovely welcome, which included a vase of lilies, staples such as olive oil and balsamic vinegar in the pantry, and even beer and wine in the fridge!

The location was perfect for us, with an easy walk to the University of Sydney, and only a few minutes to the Fish Market. There was plenty of scope for walking or jogging in the parks by Blackwattle Bay, or through the heritage neighbourhood with beautiful old houses. Loads of great restaurants along Glebe Point Road, and a library a few minutes walk down Glebe Point Road. We loved the balcony with its view over the bay towards the centre of Sydney and the Rainbow Lorikeets that came to the balcony to visit. We were just two adults, so with the second bedroom, we were able to have friends from Canada stay for a few days, and they were as enchanted with the flat and with Glebe as we were.

The description of the flat on the web site is spot on, and we fully agree with the other reviews. We have no hesitation recommending this flat to future visitors!

We are a familiy of five and spent two months in Glebe. The place is very nice and spacious. The neighbourhood is great for leisure (Blackwattle Bay), living (Glebe is quite a happening neighbourhood) and work (really close to the University of Sydney where I was at). Peter and Sue's son and daughter in law, Michelle and Chris, live right across the street and are very helpful hosts and easily accessible. Whenever we needed anything, we got it right away. They also put up a bunk bed so there was enough space for three kids in one room. Thanks to them I also learnt about Peter Corris' Hardy novels, a private eye located in Glebe and a good read for anybody spending time there. Thanks. Excellent Fritz Sager 10/14/2013 6:19:00 AM
This is a really lovely, clean, comfortable, and conveniently located apartment. It's on a quiet street, but close to excellent shops and restaurants, and a 20 minute walk (or shorter bus ride) to Sydney Uni. My husband and I stayed here for 3 months while we were visiting researchers at the university. Sue, Peter, Chris, and Michelle all worked together to make our visit better than we could have imagined. They checked in regularly to see how things were going for us, were more than responsive to requests, and even replaced all the dining room chairs when we complained that they were wobbly. Can't recommend this place enough. If you don't know about the Sydney renters market, and you're wondering if this is a good deal, know that it is. We really lucked out.
