Capitol Hill DC Quiet City Retreat

Why not spend a research semester on Capitol Hill? My charming two story 100+ year old brick row house is located in the historic district near Lincoln Park. You can walk to restaurants, open markets, the Library of Congress (15 min), and shops. Major museums are a 10 minute drive or a 20 min bike ride away. My house has three bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, ample eat-in kitchen, patio/porch and laundry facilities. One of the bedrooms serves as a study, with a single bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, and the main bedroom also has a queen sized bed. Hardwood floors, high ceilings, fully furnished (air-conditioning too). There is a screened in sleeping porch with an inviting hammock for afternoon naps. No smokers, no pets. WIFI and utilities included. Parking pass included. Bikeshare and zipcar stations within one block. Amtrak train station nearby. Long term, available Jan 1-June 1, 2021 dates flexible. Possible extension through summer 2021. Price includes all utilities and 1x/month professional cleaning.

About Me
I teach at St John's College in Annapolis MD (a reasonable drive from DC) and at our second campus in Santa Fe, NM. Having grown up in Seattle, I consider myself bi-coastal. Places I love: LA, NYC, Seattle, Paris, Aix-en-Provence, Berlin, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Budapest. Places I'd love to explore: Miami, Mexico City, Cuba, Morocco, Taiwan, S Korea, Vietnam. I do enjoy trading houses as well, and can feed your cat.
