I stayed in Katy's apartment for one month and I have enjoyed the apartment. Katy is a good host! She gave me detailed instruction to get into the house and facilities around. The apartment is just as described: clean, well-decorated, convenient with all I need. Especially I appreciate the plants in house which Katy take good care of. I would recommend it to be a place to stay in Boston area.

I had a wonderful one week stay with Katy. She is a wonderful host and I loved the proximity to several bus lines.

I stayed at Katys house for 2 weeks. I really enjoyed my experience there, it was way better than a hotel, it felt like home. the house is big, clean, the neighborhood is safe and as I didnt have a car, watertown is very well located, you have a bus running 5 mins away from her house going all the way to Havard square ( only a 10min ride) if you have a bike you can ride there as well, its pretty close. katy is very nice, welcoming, she's working full time and she's a very busy woman so you wont see her much around the house but she will take time out of her schedule to answer any of your questions or just chat. I highly recommend the house if you're looking for a place in the area.

I stayed for 3 months and it was three of us in the flat (another guest and Katy). We had a wonderful time, we all had our own lives and met each other from time to time for a chat in the kitchen. Katy is great and a very friendly host, she lives her own life, but takes good care of the flat and of you. At the same time, she gives you all the space you want. The flat is comfortable, clean and beautiful. The neighborhood is safe and there is a great diner and an excellent café just around the corner. The porch is beautiful, I sat there several times to work, which was no problem at all because the street is amazingly quiet. I had a bike for my time in Boston, and it took me only 15 minutes to go to Harvard Square, so even though Watertown is rather far away from Boston downtown, it actually is very close to Cambridge, and that is the place to be, with its bars, diners and student life. I would definitely come back to Katy's flat and I'd recommend it to anybody!

Katy is an example of perfect host: she knows the experience of travel and puts you at your ease. She is a lovely person, who respects your privacy and if you want to talk or have any quetions, she is happy to help or just to sit down for a chat. The room has everything you need, the bathroom and the kitchen are clean. Her house is very nice and very well located. There are two bus stations just a few minutes from the house which take you to Harvard station (red line T). In the end, I heartily recommend her house!

Staying at Katy's place was a very nice expercience! She is a lovely person, who respects your privacy and if you want to talk or have any quetions, she is happy to help or just to sit down for a chat. The room has everything you need (+a very comfy chair), the bathroom and the kitchen are clean. Another plus were the washing mashine and the dryer that I could use. It takes you about 15-20 minutes to Harvard, about 35-40 minutes to Park Street in Boston. Bus and T go all the time, so I never had to wait too long. There are a few nice shops and restaurants close to Katy's house.

Natalie (USA)

Katy was a very welcoming host and the listing is clean, tidy, and as described. The private room has its own entryway and the balcony was a great place to read. I enjoyed the surrounding Watertown area and frequented the Fresh Pond Reservation and the Mount Auburn Cemetery too, along with the visiting nature photographers and bird watchers. A Star Market is within walking distance on the same main commercial corridor (Mt. Auburn Street) that hosts other locally owned restaurants, shops, bakeries, and markets. Though the friendly locals there will give you directions to the Trader Joe's or Whole Foods market near the Fresh Pond Reservation, should these regional retailers would better suit your needs. Katy's home is located in a very quiet neighborhood that is a short bus ride away from Harvard, and one bus and subway ride away from Boston (Back Bay, Financial District, etc). The public transportation system was affordable and ran often (I never waited more than 15 minutes) so I would highly recommend this room for students and professionals alike who need to be close to the Cambridge area. I found this listing very comfortable and convenient, and would definitely stay again.

I have lived in Boston for 17 years and I have worked for the health care industry for 13 years in the USA as a translator/interpreter and many other administrative positions.

I stayed at Katys house for six months and really enjoyed my time there. I felt very welcome from the beginning. Katy is very friendly and always ready to answer questions. I had a great time with Katy and the other guest in the house. The room is large and nice and had everything I needed and there is free access to the kitchen and bathroom. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood outside the city with good bus connections to Harvard Square from where you can take the train to the rest of Boston. I went to MIT, which is 30-40 minutes away. Excellent Kristina Pedersen 8/3/2017 10:09:00 AM
