Colorful, 3BR, 2BA Bailey neighborhood (half a mile from campus/downtown),

Our home is in the lovely Bailey neighborhood, just a ~7-minute walk from downtown and campus. The surrounding blocks are mostly occupied by families, but if you go a few blocks in any direction, there is student housing.

The house was built in 1935, similarly to most in the neighborhood, and is well-maintained. In addition to the furniture (described below), we will also leave the home stocked with towels and bathroom and kitchen essentials to start you off.

On the first floor, the large kitchen has modern appliances, a dinette area, and lots of natural light. There is a sunroom with large windows, two desks, a table for four, and a couch. The living room has a piano and an ikea queen-size sleeper-sofa. And there is a small full bathroom with a standing shower (which we rarely use).

Upstairs, the master bedroom has a queen bed, large dresser, and built-in closet. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a dresser, and book shelving. The third bedroom is small, with a dresser and no beds (we’ve had our twin toddlers sleeping on floor mattresses). The full bathroom upstairs has a bathtub and charming original tile (if you’re into mint green).

The basement is half furnished with carpet, a queen bed, a dresser, two desks, and two large egress windows. On the unfurnished side, there is a washer and dryer ( 10 years old), HVAC system (recently inspected), and large freezer. There are also storage racks and additional space that you can use for storage (there is a separate storage room in the basement that we will use for our things).

The backyard has a 14’ trampoline and a small play set with swings and a slide. There are also planters and a garden. If you stay in the home, we would ask you to help mow the lawn with our electric mower.

There are a few murals on the walls (e.g., Elephant and Piggie), both inside and outside, painted by the artistic adult in the house (not me!).

We have a dog and would be fine with you bringing a well-behaved dog, but unfortunately we have a cat allergy in the home, so we’d prefer no cats.

Our whole family loves the home and we think you will too.

Thanks for considering,
