Charming Four Bedroom House in Heart of Kitchener-Waterloo

Beautiful red brick home built in 1935 with old charm in a friendly, central and walkable neighbourhood in Midtown Kitchener. Ten minute walk to downtown Kitchener. Fifteen minutes to Uptown Waterloo. Both areas full of restaurants, cafes, parks, and shops. House is steps from the beautiful Spur Line Trail which facilitates a fifteen minute bike ride to Laurier University and University of Waterloo. Five minute walk from bus stops and light rail train station.

In the home there is a newly renovated open concept kitchen and sitting area on the main floor that leads into a brand new deck and backyard garden oasis. Gardens are well maintained and available for use. Also on the main floor is a dining room and a large, comfortable living room, with a natural gas fireplace and television.

Upstairs, there is a 4-piece bathroom. There are also four bright bedrooms with plenty of natural light. The two front rooms are quite large, with vaulted ceilings, and the master has an ensuite bathroom. The two back rooms are moderately sized, easily accommodating double beds. All four bedrooms have plenty of closet space for clothing and storage.

The basement is partially finished, with a rustic wood panel recreation space. Could be used as a den. There is also a washer and dryer, storage space and a fully functional workshop in the downstairs area.

The driveway beside the house has a multipurpose patio area for relaxing, while providing ample space to accommodate multiple vehicles if needed.

We are happy to leave the property fully furnished and equipped with every day necessities (i.e. kitchen, bath and bed supplies).

About Me
My partner Lauren and I have been living our home near downtown Kitchener for the past two years. I grew up in the area and have completed all my post-secondary education at the University of Waterloo, where I am currently working on completing my PhD. Lauren is originally from Northern Ontario and is currently a Family Medicine resident in Kitchener, with plans to transition into practice this year. This September, we are moving to Toronto so I can pursue further education in Clinical Prosthetics and Orthotics over the next two years. We love our current house in Kitchener and have put our hearts into making it our home through various home projects, renovations and gardening. It is close to both downtown Kitchener and uptown Waterloo. We both enjoy a short, pleasant commute to work in the morning on our bikes. In the winter we can walk to town or jump on a bus to get to the University in a matter of minutes. We are willing to leave behind the large majority of our furniture, as well as our Audi station wagon.
