About Me
Currently I am a senior official at Fundação para a Ciencia e a Tecnologia (Portugal Foundation for Science and Technology). I graduated in economics by the Catholic University of Lisbon. I am a civil servant, and always worked in study and research offices, in the economics area - except for a period of 5 years, in which I worked for a semi private cultural institution IPOR (also an institution that carried out the teaching of the Portuguese language as a foreign language, contacts with lectureships and consulates for language and cultural support, cultural initiatives and funding, coordinator in an art gallery). I am becoming 65, I am married, I have 2 daughters and 2 grand children. My husband is a Member of the Board of Directors of a private cultural foundation (Fundação Oriente) and lived in Macao, China, for 9 years, before the handover to China (1999). In this period travelled in Asia, covered several countries, as Japan, China, the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Nepal, India, Thailand, Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia. Also travelled to many countries in Europe, on duty and on leisure, as Germany, Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, England, Hungary, Poland and Check Republic. I’ve also been several times to Cabo Verde, a former Portuguese colony in Africa (vacation). I speak and read English and French quite fluently. I can understand Italian and Spanish.
