Lovely garden apartment in Georgian house

Our home is the garden flat of a large georgian house in a conservation area of Hackney. There is a patio and a garden. The flat is stylishly decorated with plenty of books, music and movies. There is a large master bedroom and a small guest bedroom. Good transport links take you to great nearby shops and restaurants or into central London in 30 minutes. The neighbourhood is well served by churches, synagogues and mosques and there is a large park and walking on the Hackney Marshes only moments away.

We have been living for seven months in this beautiful apartment in a wonderful location, and we are already missing it. The apartment is in the centre of the Green Village, an incredible estate built up in the 1940’s in an utopic way of how should be planned the urban expansion of Los Angeles in those years. Unfortunately it was the only estate to be built in that way and actually is a unique case in California. You fell all the time surrounded by nature and you literally forgot you are in the middle of a huge metropolis. The neighbours are very friendly, with a high range of academics, artist and similar professions. They are of different races and provenances. It was easy to become friends because most of them have been, or still are, in a similar situation we were (foreigners, new in the city, etc.). The Green Village is very child-friendly. If you are planning to move with your family it is not a problem at all, your children are going to enjoy the place and in a couple of days are going to have a lot of new friends. On the other side, it is a quite calm place, the green areas are big enough to don’t be disturbed by children and other residents. The area around the Green Village is mostly quiet and the estate is provided with private security resources. With car is easy to arrive to USC, Loyola Marymount and UCLA. If you don’t have private vehicle you can take the Metro Expoline Station of La Brea just 10m walking and La Cienega is no longer than 15m. It is just one station to Culver City, you need 30m to Santa Monica Downtown and 20m to LA Downtown. You arrive directly to USC in 15m from La Brea. Least but not less, we had a really good experience with the apartment tenants. They are very interesting people, cultivated, and friendly and they were always ready to help. We really become friends and we had nice conversations about all kind of subjects (we really enjoyed the talks about LA history and the film industry). It is always going to be a good choice to move to this apartment, we were very happy while we were living there. Excellent horacio gonzalez 4/19/2017 8:07:00 AM
