My partner and I spent 5 weeks living here while we were working at the Huntington Library. It was an excellent experience. The apartment is light, comfortable, and fully-equipped with kitchen and bathroom. Though it is a studio, it is spacious enough to be able to rest, relax, and work in the same space. Coleman and Kerry were very welcoming and friendly -- I hope we'll keep in touch! Though the studio is in their garden, it is completely private and has a separate entrance -- we had our privacy, but also help with orientation, the local area, and anything else we needed.

The location is very well-placed for the Huntington, as long as you have access to a car. The cafes, bars, restaurants and shops of Highland Park, a lively area, are in 20-minute walking distance, and there are other nearer grocery stores. We would warmly recommend this as a place to stay for anyone at the Huntington or CalTech (or for whatever other reason you may have to visit LA/Pasadena).
