We have stayed at this apartment several times and have really enjoyed our times there. It is a sabbatical home to which any guest would want to make return visits. The location is excellent, looking out on the Baie des Anges. High up, with a lift, clean, secure, convenient, well-appointed, exceptionally comfortable. The apartment itself is very beautiful and is beautifully kept. Amenities are near and plentiful. Swimming, and biking and walking on the promenade are on the doorstep, including a very convenient Velo stand right outside. It is a most relaxing spot as well as being a great spot from which to work, being spacious, calm and quiet. Philip is a gentleman, very courteous and very organised in all our dealings. This is a fantastic and special home, representing the best of what sabbaticalhomes sets out to do. Joan and Luke

This enchanting Nice apartment exceeded all our expectations during our week-long stay in August this year (2015) and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Photos cannot do justice to the charming character of the building, the spacious and elegant interior, superb location and those magnificent Mediterranean views from both balconies. (The apartment also has a dual aspect to the street behind which makes for plenty of natural light and a through breeze when the windows and shutters are open).
I travelled with my husband and 12-year-old daughter who also found this fourth-floor apartment a complete delight. Relaxation can be a holiday goal sometimes more anticipated than realised but we were surprised at how quickly we unwound here. The property had everything we needed for a genuinely relaxing stay with more than enough space, French ambience and home comforts to unhook us from our usual busy routines. The beds and chairs were particularly sumptuous. The close proximity of the beach (just opposite) made a great accommodation come perilously close to perfection with many refreshing morning and afternoon swims.
We have visited Nice a number of times and stayed in many accommodations and locations across Europe but this apartment is at the top of our list. The owners, were extremely helpful, providing detailed information before we left and just a phone call away to answer any queries while we were there.
We always enjoy France but this time was extra special - this apartment gave us an unexpectedly magical and memorable time and we hope to return. Thanks again.

I stayed in Philip and Nori’s apartment from February to mid-May 2015. It is a 15 minute walk through quiet residential streets to the University of Nice, Faculté des lettres. The flat is luminous with high ceilings. It is tastefully decorated with an artsy touch that reflects the modernist masters of the Côte d’Azur. As previous guests have mentioned, the apartment is well appointed and Philip and Nori are very pleasant to deal with. In my opinion, the advantages of living on the Prom far outweigh the traffic noise. You will be able to fully take in the turquoise beauty of the Mediterranean, witness numerous events that take place along the Promenade (marathons), have easy access to the beach and enjoy walking without having to dodge cars and mopeds. If you like biking, I recommend using the Vélobleu (there is a station just behind the building) where you can rent a bike on a daily, weekly or yearly basis for a very modest price. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best place to live when staying in Nice!

We stayed in this lovely, spacious flat for a week in October. The location is superb. Overlooking the sea, with large French windows giving wonderful views and light. There is some traffic noise in the day, but we hardly noticed it and any noise was amply compensated for by the views. The flat is on the fourth floor, well above the street
It's really handy for shops, buses, hire bikes. You feel right in the heart of Nice, yet it's a peaceful end of town. Quiet at night, very respectable.
The flat itself is a lovely, calm, light space. We loved it and will definitely come back.

I found this apartment to be the perfect place to stay while in Nice. Easy to get to from the airport, the bus stops practically in front of the building. The transportation system in Nice is really good and can be accessed easily from the apartment. Old Nice is a 30 minute walk along the Promenade Des Anglais, which also has a dedicated bike path. And to sit on the lovely balcony every morning and gaze out to sea, what a treat! The only unexpected thing was the noise from the traffic but as I live in the country where it is very quiet, I am quite unused to it. That said, I would definitely return for another stay in Nice.
