The Garden Flat is situated in a magnificent Victorian house in a quiet, residential crescent within Notting Hill and close to Portobello Road. The area is famous for the film ' Notting Hill' and indeed the house featured in 'About a Boy, also featuring Hugh Grant.

Frequent buses for Oxford Street and Holborn , and the city, from Westbourne Grove /Chepstow Road (30 mins), Kensington and Hammersmith (20 mins). Paddington Station (Mainline and Underground), Notting Hill Gate and Bayswater underground stations are all within 15 minutes walk. Royal Oak (Hammersmith and City line) is the closest - a 10 minute walk.Direct link with Paddington, Kings Cross and the City .Waitrose 12 mins walk plus the market on Portobello Road Also nearby restaurants, pubs and bars give an excellent choice for lunch and evening meals.

The spacious flat is furnished with antiques plus an eclectic collection of books, paintings and ornaments. It is centrally heated throughout
Bedroom 1: with access to a small planted courtyard at the back of the flat, King size bed, ensuite bathroom, WC and shower. A single futon chair bed can be converted to an extra single bed if required.
Bedroom 2: with access to the same courtyard, has a Super King size bed, which can be split in to 2 singles, ensuite shower room and WC.
Electric blankets are provided for both beds. TV in both bedrooms.
Sitting Room: Very spacious with sunny morning light, it is furnished with a comfortable chairs and a sofa, plus a table suitable for a desk. Overlooking the attractive terrace/ garden outside, with a view across the road to the church . Wi-fi available. Also a TV and CD player/radio.
A table and chairs are provided for alfresco eating during the summer months
Dining Area: With an antique dining table and seating for 6.
Kitchen: Adjacent to dining area, it is well-equipped with an electric oven, gas hob fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle and toaster.
Utility Room: With washing machine and sink.
A home-from home in a great neighbourhood where it is all happening!

The flat is very conveniently located for shops and restaurants. The location is convenient for major educational and research centres – British Library, galleries, museums. Major attractions of London are nearby – the Paddington and Regent’s Canals and Little Venice, Edgeware Road, Kensington and Hyde Parks; Buckingham Palace, The War Rooms, Piccadilly, Oxford Street; etc. Anna Christian is a delightful owner and been very attentive to anything we need."

I am an antique textile conservator, working here at my flat, so it is full of interesting fabrics, cushions and throws, plus a collection of antiques, many collected on my extensive travels, Lots of books relating to my work and my studies of art. I collect unusual paintings , many hung on the walls It is a warm attractive flat for those appreciating comfortable sofas and chairs and a quiet place to study within a short walk of the market

Anna's is such a lovely flat, in such a beautiful, elegant street... London at its best. I spent there two months and it was comfortable, cosy, with everything you need to really live there and -something very important for me- a great place to work, with very good wifi and even a printer which was really useful. My daughter spent some days with me, and was delighted at the little garden, so cute and nice. Also, she had her own room and own bathroom: the fact that each bedroom has its own is a real plus. The flat is near the underground and many buses, perfectly communicated, it has supermarkets and services very close to it, plus many interesting things within walking distance: the quaint Portobello Market, posh Westbourne Grove, with its many restaurants and shops; Kensington Palace and Gardens are barely a 20 minute walk. We spent a week in London this past summer and had a wonderful time in Anna's flat! It has two full bedrooms, two baths, a perfectly outfitted kitchen (with everything we could have wanted or needed), and lots of books and artwork, which made us feel right at home! The flat is a 10-15-minute walk from the Notting Hill tube station or a five-minute walk from Royal Oak; a ten-minute walk to Portobello Road. Perfect location for all our outings. Anna also left descriptions of nearby restaurants, grocery stores and other amenities. She, herself, was also lovely to work with - everything went really smoothly. We highly recommend her home! We stayed in Annas flat for four nights and had a great time. The flat is wonderful; her antiques, the flowers in the backyard, the flowers in the front yard made us just want to stay on for longer. Not only is this flat located in the most attractive area in London, but it is just a lovely home with lots of charm. After days in one of the most interesting cities in the world, it is amazing to be able to return to the homely warmth of this flat. While London is vibrant with energies and can at times feel draining, Annas flat is the perfect stay to put up your feet and relax. In addition, the flat is equipped in such a practical manner that nothing is missed while there. The location could not be better with access to everything from buses to underground stations, and any shops you might need. Everything is in walking distance and it's a lovely area for a walk. A nice bonus is how wonderful it is to communicate with the host, Anna. She did absolutely everything she could to make us to feel at home. We can honestly say we have never had a better time in London thanks to Anna and her home, and we cannot wait to return. Anna is a wonderful host with a stunning home from home. We felt so comfortable during our recent stay we didn't want to leave. The flat was spacious for us as a family of four and well equipped including lots of fascinating antiques that give the place a real charm. We were lucky enough to stay in the summer and enjoyed relaxing in the pretty garden with the flowers all in bloom. The flat is ideally located to tour around Notting Hill and transport to other areas is really easy on the tube/and or buses which are 2 minutes walk away and come very frequently. The flat is within a stones throw of some excellent eateries; we loved going to The Durbar for a true English curry, The Prince Bonnapart for drinks and the wonderful cafe Hernandez for croissants in the mornings. There's a great selection of shops nearby; Portobello Road on a Saturday morning was a real experience and the smart shops on Ledbury Road are great for a leisurely browse. We have just spent one week in August with our two kids and we would like to thank Anna so much for everything. We have felt as if being at home. We have had everything we have needed up to the last detail.

We wish we had had more time to read the excellent books she has. We had great expectations after meeting her and seeing the house for the first time but the experience has been way over them for the whole family. Even at Notting Hill Carnival time we have been able to both relax and chill out at the house and also enjoy the sounds, the colours and the atmosphere. We would love to come back to her cosy and charming house.
