This residence is in Sydney's picturesque and historic Paddington. It's close to universities, the city, beaches and parks, and is surrounded by galleries, restaurants, cafes and other lively venues.

Paddington is a vibrant and sought-after area and the apartment is a super-quiet haven at its centre. You can start the day with breakfast in the courtyard, a jog in nearby Centennial Park, or head out to one of the many cafes nearby.

The apartment comprises the ground floor of a Victorian house with its own private entrance, leafy garden and garage. It's completely self contained and stylish, with even a touch of luxury.

The living-dining-kitchen opens to the garden and the other section of this L-shape living area is the bedroom with a queen bed, and generous cupboard and storage space. It's spacious and light, also completely quiet and secluded.

Sandstone walls inside and out add to the atmosphere and privacy.

The apartment has wifi and Sony TV + DVD. The kitchen features a brand new induction cook top plus a convection+microwave oven, electric grill and Nespresso machine. There's a large bathroom with clothes washer and dryer.

New arrivals will find the fridge stocked with basics so there's no need to rush to the shops after a long journey.

Historic Paddington is centrally situated near to the city, universities, harbour and beaches. It is Sydney's centre for galleries, cafes, restaurants and boutique shops. It also borders on Centennial Park which offers walking, jogging, cycling and picnic facilities. On Saturdays there's a busy market.

Public transport, including to universities, is excellent. You can also walk to the CBD in half an hour and be at Bondi beach in 20 minutes.

Sydney University, UTS, University of NSW, COFA and Notre Dame are all located within easy travelling distance and there are good transport connections to other universities.

I bought this house almost 40 years ago and I've loved living here. It was a great area to bring up kids and the longer I live here the more I appreciate the neighbourhood attractions.

About Me
I taught English to adult migrants and then moved on to work in vocational education in a large NSW public education organisation. Now I'm retired and I travel, do volunteer work and spend hours on music, dance and reading. I've lived in Paddington for a long time and I love my house and the area. It's conveniently close to the city but I enjoy swimming and walking and I can do both locally which is part of the reason for living here. But my family is spread out, my children and grandchildren live in South Australia, so I spend time out of Sydney as well.

This large studio is very lovely with a spacious courtyard garden. It is in a interesting part of Paddington with lots of unusual buildings, galleries and shops as well as Centennial Park. It is sunny and quiet, being tucked away from the street and the parking space is very convenient. This is a wonderful spacious studio apartment with a large bathroom/laundry. I stayed here twice for several weeks both times. It is clean, light, and has everything you need: washing machine, dryer, TV, great wifi, etc. The location is stellar. Centennial Park is very nearby, restaurants, great coffee shops and the famous Paddington market every Saturday. Oxford St is close and there are many buses that can take you to Bondi beach or Bondi Junction or the City - all are about 15 minutes away. It is amazing how quiet it is given its close proximity to so many services and transport. Pam is wonderful and makes you feel very welcome. Excellent Moira 12/14/2016 7:11:00 PM
