Architect-designed 2br rowhouse on charming Saint Albans street

Charming 2br+study, 1.5bath, rowhouse in Southwest Center City (Saint Albans and 22nd st.), with very small car parking in alley, garden and roof deck. While teaching Architecture at Thomas Jefferson University I've renovated every inch of the home in the last three years: Scandinavian architectural detailing, sophisticated lighting and audio design, high performance heating and cooling systems, a kitchen designed for serious cooking, high-end appliances, second floor washer and dryer, off-street parking(!), etc. Home is supplied furnished, including computer and printer, networks, wifi, stereos in each room, etc. I own four bikes that can be made available as well.

The roof deck is lovely year-round and a joy. The neighborhood is easy walking distance to Penn, Drexel, U. Arts, Jefferson and other Center City and West Philly institutions. Temple is a bit of a haul on foot but an easy bike ride.

About Me
Hello. I'm Chris, an Associate Professor of Architecture at Philadelphia University, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, USA. Professionally, my applied research and teaching focuses on resilient humanitarian architecture and community development in Southern Africa. Since 2007, I have designed numerous community-focused architectural projects, include the award-winning Piet Patsa Community Arts Centre in Viljounskroon, SA; the Youth With a Vision Children’s Centre in Dennilton, SA; the eNtokozweni Community Centre in Alexandra, SA; and multiple projects for the Malamulo Hospital in Thyolo and Blantyre, Malawi. From January to December 2017, I'll be teaching at the University of Malawi Polytechnic on a Fulbright Scholar Fellowship. While teaching, I've also been completely renovating my Center City rowhouse. I've invested a massive amount of time and energy into the work, and have to admit to being somewhat disappointed to leave the house just as it's completed! Alas. I hope you'll enjoy it. I know I do!
