Also a few minutes walk from the many trails of Epping Forest. My apologies for taking so long to post this, as my husband and I stayed in this flat in August 2017. It was my first experience with the sabbatical homes platform, and I was thoroughly satisfied with its references and general system. This flat proved to be an excellent choice, on all accounts. It is a gorgeous place in a historic building in l'Eixample and has been renovated with modern appointments to the kitchen and bathrooms. Yet it retains its nineteenth century beauty in terms of woodwork, layout, and its lovely tile flooring. Really a gem of a place. We happened to be in Barcelona during something of a hot spell so the flat's a/c came in handy. But there is also good cross ventilation as the flat is an entire floor of the building, with a nice little back terrace that was especially comfortable for evenings. Our rental process was all handled very professionally and efficiently; I would definitely rent this apartment and from this owner again. Personally, i liked this location as it is more of a real neighborhood, with local restaurants and longer term residents. Yet it was still easy walking (or taking the metro) to various tourist destinations--indeed, it's especially convenient to Sagrada Familia. And for festival season in August, it is quite close to Graca and its charming squares. I recommend this flat for long-term stays, due to its comfort, convenience, and aesthetic appeal.
