Kensington Market Loft with Garden, Private Terrace, and Parking

Quiet, colourful, fully-furnished, 750-square foot loft in the Kensington Market Lofts with private street access, beautiful perennial garden, and large private terrace with lounge chairs and bbq. This open-concept loft is ideal for a couple or one person. It is equipped with A/C, laundry, dishwasher, unlimited wifi, and a private parking space. Available either July 1st or August 1st - flexible with start date.

This is a rare gem of a unit in a wonderful, vibrant, and artistically-minded community in one of the city’s best locations. It is an oasis, a quiet place on a calm street, yet steps away from all the amenities of the Kensington Market historic district (cafes, bars, restaurants, food shops, funky vintage shops), College street, Spadina, Chinatown, and Queen West. Located in the heart of downtown Toronto it is walking distance from UofT, Ryerson, OCAD, George Brown, and Hospital Row (Sick Kids, Princess Margaret, Mount Sinai). Transit on your doorstep and Lake Ontario walking and bike paths accessed within minutes.

There is an adorable cat who lives in another home across the street but likes to come by for visits and food. We are looking for someone who would appreciate the opportunity to love a cat and allow him inside for some cuddles although he doesn't live in the unit.

We are looking for responsible, quiet, non-smoking tenants who will appreciate this sweet place as much as we do, and enjoy the garden, the visiting cat, and the great neighbors! Because of the cat visitor, no other pets allowed. If interested, please let us know when you are looking to move and if it is a long or short term rental.

About Me
I am a Canadian currently living in Los Angeles for my job as Assistant Professor of Acting at California State University Northridge. I am simultaneously completing my PhD at the University of Toronto and I have been living in my Toronto loft, which is five minutes walk from UofT, for the past seven years. As a theatre and circus director I have worked across Canada, Europe, USA, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the Arctic, but my Toronto loft has been the happiest home of my life. There is a very strong sense of community in the Kensington Market neighbourhood and I love walking the streets and being part of the life in the cafes and shops after long days writing alone in the quiet of my loft - it is the perfect environment for an academic to work and relax!
