While living in Greece, we are offering our artistic home with Viennese flair and cosy atmosphere, 88 m2, fully furnished with library, piano, big windows, typically Viennese high ceilings, and beautiful cared-after parquet floor. Ideal for writers, architects, artists, professors or researchers, or a couple/little family desiring to experience the real Vienna.

It is situated very conveniently in walking distance from the central Library and Lugner City Shopping Center, 15 min by the quick bus connection to the heart of Vienna - Parlament, MuseumsQuartier, but, on the other hand it is also not far from parks and the Vienna forest.

Salon with Chippendale furniture, library, dining table and two writing desks, master bedroom with bathroom, kitchen with e-oven, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, central heating, high speed wifi internet.

The windows of the salon and library look to the street, the windows of the bedroom and the winter balcony - to the courtyard. Bus, tram, various shops are around the corner.

Living here means being in the middle of a vivid neighborhood, right next to the city's center, but also not so far from the Vienna forest. A park, a swimming pool, and shops, also multicultural ones, are round the corner, and I hope, it will be as pleasant for you as it's always been for us to come home.

Across the park and down the street you will find an urban shopping center with ll you need, banks, gym, restaurants, the popular restaurant 'Oben'above the roofs of Vienna and several very convenient and quick transportation means - subway, trams, and bus, perfect for city explorers or just to make it on time to work and meetings.

We found the flat to be just as described in the posting. It had plenty of room for us to live and work in. I loved the kitchen as we mainly ate at home. The location is wonderful for exploring Vienna. It was approximately a 15 - 20 minute walk to the city center. Likewise, the bus and subway stops are a short walk from the flat. The 16th district has wonderful diversity and I loved to walk to the market Saturday mornings. If you prefer malls, the Lugner City mall is a short walk away. Finally, our host provided detailed instructions for the flat as well as how to manage the city bureaucracy. She was flexible when we had to return home early due to the Coronavirus. Our family spent this summer in June's (not her real name) place, while visiting the University of Vienna. First, June was a great host: friendly, upfront, very helpful. She was always available, and always willing to help in any way she could, not only in regards to the apartment, but also offering advice in navigating Austrian bureaucracy (of which there is a considerable amount).

June's description of the place is spot on. We don't have much to add except that we very much like these traditional Viennese buildings, with their high ceilings, large windows, and thick brick walls. Aside from the stylistic considerations, they are remarkably comfortable -- as Europe suffered from record breaking heat, we stayed (relatively) cool.

We also very much enjoyed the neighborhood. While we lived in close proximity to the center (20 minutes with the incredibly efficient public transportation system), the sixteenth district is more culturally diverse and is quite a bit more laid back than the inner city districts. We particularly enjoyed the large variety of ethnic food (one of our favorites was dining in the beautiful courtyard of Kent Restaurant, a Turkish restaurant at Brunnenmarkt, or walking 10 minutes to the Schutzhaus zur Zukunft -- a beer garden with good beer and Austrian food surrounded by the garden plots of the Schmelz.). Grocery stores and, in fact, stores with all possible necessities were in easy walking distance (Brunnenmarkt, Lugner City, a large selection of grocery stores). Last but not least, there are plenty of sports opportunities close by including a variety of outdoor pools, the indoor pool in Stadthalle, and tennis courts.
