Hello,
I'm single in my late-30s, educated in the ivy league, born in Texas, and love gentle, quiet, clean living. I am looking for a sabbatical home (1-3 months, flexible) to compile my research and to write. This is geared for my professional development, which may lead back to formal academics.
I am open to any accommodations, from a quiet room to a larger space, whether urban or ranch land. I have traveled extensively and am comfortable in many environments, granted they are safe. I am very tidy and enjoy cooking, so access to a kitchen would also be wonderful!
My only vice is chocolate, but I don't have any true vices (drinking, smoking, social, etc)!
I study the relationship between value and identity, beginning in psychology and visual studies, and have applied that in various ways professionally. I began with design, moved into marketing and brand development, and most recently founded a communications company that builds apps for medium- large-scale business.
I took a year to study personal styling (cosmetology) as part of my research and trade subject, and now include hairstyling among my professional abilities and hobbies.
My hobbies and interests are in equitation, art and design (textile, visual, history), homeopathic and alternative health, ecology, and travel.
My family consists of my two brothers, sister, many nieces and nephews, and my beloved horse--all of whom live in North Carolina! I love animals and have had many pets.
I am comfortable living with people and alone, I'm respectful of space, and am extremely handy around the house, in the garden, and with animals.
Excellent references are available from others for whom I've house-sat and lived!
