Spacious patio home near ASU and Mesa Community College

Villa del Sol is a newly renovated patio home in central Tempe with three bedrooms, two baths, and a private walled back yard. The home is close to excellent public transportation, including free direct bus service to ASU.

Villa del Sol is a spacious 1900+ square feet, including a large living room with reclining leather sofa and chairs, a separate dining room seating up to 8, eating space in the kitchen, a master bedroom suite, plenty of storage, and a two-car garage. It is ideally suited for Arizona outdoor living and entertaining, with an additional 1000 square foot covered patio that includes an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Directly across the street from the house is the community pool and ramada.

Villa de Sol is fully and comfortably furnished, including ample dishware, cookware, and silverware in the kitchen and all necessary linens for the bedrooms and baths.

Despite its central location along Rural Road, Villa del Sol is peaceful and quiet. Whether sitting on the patio or at the pool, you are more likely to hear birds singing than traffic noise. The back and side yards of Villa del Sol are enclosed by a privacy wall with securely locked gates, enabling you to enjoy the patio and outdoor kitchen in exceptional privacy. The yard is attractively landscaped with desert plants, using xeriscape principles.

The home is within walking distance of the Tempe Public Library, Tempe History Museum, Vihel Center for the Arts, and Pyle Adult Recreation Center. The library has excellent facilities, including a café. Shopping, including a Fry’s supermarket, CVS drugstore, and Walmart, also is a short walk away.

Villa del Sol is centrally located, only two blocks north of the Rural Road entrance to the Superstition Freeway (route 60). From the Freeway, it is only a few minutes to Interstate 10, the Price Freeway (route 101), and the Red Mountain Freeway (route 202) and, from there, any of Phoenix’s highways.

Villa del Sol also is convenient to multiple public transportation options. There is a Valley Metro bus stop on Rural Road at the end of the street that connects to the Valley Metro light rail. The free Tempe Orbit buses stop at the Library; the Jupiter route goes directly to the ASU campus.

Villa del Sol is strictly a non-smoking property. Additional pictures upon request.

About Me
I am a retired lawyer specializing in energy law. In retirement I have taught seminars on energy law at the Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law at Arizona State University, Georgetown University Law Center, and, currently, at the William & Mary School of Law in Williamsburg, Virginia. I spend winter months at our home in Tempe, Arizona, but for much of the year enjoy travel and living at our permanent home in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Ted was an excellent, attentive host. We stayed for three months and really appreciated his communicativeness and the help of his nephew who was in town whenever we had any minor issues. The home is lovely and renovated, with amazing outdoor space and very good privacy throughout the house. Highly recommend! Excellent EvanB 8/24/2020 3:49:00 PM
