The real Italian feeling off the main touristic tracks

Our apartment is located in Rome, on the beautiful and green hill of Monteverde Vecchio from where you can experience the real Italian feeling off the touristic tracks, yet in a strategic position close to many of the wonders that make of Rome the most loved city of the world.
On the third floor of a building from the beginning of the 1900, surrounded by a beautiful and peaceful common garden, it consists of a cozy living room with a comfortable sofa, dining area in front of a balcony facing Viale dei Quattro Venti with a table accommodating 8 people; a bedroom for two with a walk-in bathroom with bathtub; a second bedroom with three single beds; second bathroom with a large shower, and a fully equipped large kitchen.
The area is loved by foreign academics, students and scholars: the American, Spanish, Finnish and Norwegian Academies are in Monteverde together with a few American Universities because of the beautiful dominant and central location, the huge natural green area of Park Doria Pamphili and the quite atmosphere of this residential part of Rome.
More walking distance places of interest are:
Piazzale Gianicolo (Janiculum hill) and Acqua Paola Fountain (10 min.) from where you can enjoy the most astonishing views over the entire city (setting for 2014 Oscar awarded film “The Great Beauty”).
San Pietro in Montorio and Chioschetto del Bramante, 5 min.
Villa Pamphili park (ideal for long walks, running, biking or picnics) and Villa Sciarra park (a beautiful garden where it is possible to walk and enjoy relax and fresh air) are both only few minutes away.
Trastevere, 15 min.
Tiber river, 20 min.
Saint Peter’s (20 min.)
Piazza Campo dei Fiori (25min.)
Piazza Navona (30 min.)
Public transportation includes buses 44 to Piazza Venezia, 75 to Termini Railway station; tram 8 from Viale Trastevere to Largo Argentina. Quattro Venti local railway station is 5 min. walk. From here it is possible to reach Ostiense and Tiburtina stations, Gemelli hospital, Monte Mario, La Storta, and further north the medieval town of Viterbo.

About Me
My background is international. I earned a major in foreign languages at the university of Rome. Then, I have traveled and lived in different countries of the world where I worked as a teacher of Italian but also English and French. I have decided to engage myself in this new activity as I often visit my husband in Milan, while our daughters are currently in the UK and the house is often empty. I like traveling with art, history, nature, and food as the leitmotifs of my favorite destinations . When I am in Rome I like getting lost alternatively in our amazing neighbourhood's park - Villa Pamphili - or down the hill amidst the never ending beauties of the ancient Rome.
