The apartment is located in a building from 1896 with high ceilings and lots of natural light in any kind of weather. It has recently been completely remodeled, carefully preserving all the original features from the parquet floors to the stucco on the ceilings, doors and windows with ornate brass handles and last not least a magnificent tiled oven. It is equipped with everything you may need and furnished with a tasteful mixture of antiques, modern design and art. You can see more photos at http://janschuette.de/en/private/leonhardtstrasse The bedroom faces a peaceful courtyard with tall trees. It has an en suite bathroom as well as an abundance of closet space. In addition, there is a guest bathroom off the hall. High-quality linens and towels are provided. The living room has a comfortable sofa and armchairs, a desk, a large bookcase, TV and music equipment. It opens onto a cozy balcony overlooking the charming residential street with leafy trees and lots of little shops, cafés and restaurants—the perfect place for coffee in the morning or a drink at sunset. Tall double wing doors lead to the spacious dining room with a large teak table and a magnificent tiled oven. This room could also be used as a study. The white sofa in the bay window (not in pictures) is a lovely place to read and relax and pulls out to a comfortable queen-size bed for the occasional weekend guest. The kitchen is fully equipped with Chef's Quality pots, pans, knives and all appliances, including a dishwasher, washer, dryer, food processor, coffeemaker, and TV. It also has a cozy breakfast table. This sophisticated apartment is perfect for a single person or a couple but not suitable for children. Non-smokers only. It is located on the second floor (US third), an easy walk up. There is no elevator. Located in one of the most beautiful and desirable neighborhoods in town. Once you live here you don't move away, people know each other and are helpful and friendly. The street has wide sidewalks, leafy trees, an abundance of cozy cafés and restaurants, and small boutiques. All shopping for your daily needs, bakeries, delicatessen, and a fabulous farmers market are nearby. The area feels a little like Paris meets Berlin, urban and peaceful at the same time. Beautiful Lietzensee Park for walking, running or sitting in the grass and Kurfürsten Damm with its high-end stores and magnificent buildings are only a short stroll away. You have excellent access to public transportation: S-Bahn Charlottenburg (overground, great scenic ride across town) is literally down the street, and you reach several underground lines and buses within a couple of minutes walk. All utilities are included. However, there is a cap for gas and electricity beyond which tenant will be charged.
