This small machiya house has been fully renovated in 2017. It is very centrally located, less than 10 minutes walk from Kyoto Tower, 15 minutes walk from Kyoto JR central station. Located in an alley on Takasegawa canal. The area, a former geisha district (yukaku) where brothels were authorized, is a secluded area in the city center. At the end of a narrow alley, you'll be hidden in a local community. The house is compact, on the ground floor there is a tatami bedroom, a living room, a separate WC, a stripped kitchen, and a bathroom opening to a wooden backyard. On top of the tatami room, there is a tatami loft, which can also accommodate a couple of persons. It is ideal for a couple, but it can temporarily accommodate up to 4 persons.
