We are going to be abroad for two months in the summer and would like to let our large beautifully renovated Victorian town house. It is in a much sought-after neighbourhood of North London called Stroud Green. The house was renovated 10 years ago and has a large modern architect-designed kitchen extension, spacious living areas, 5 bedrooms, 3 of them with double beds and one with a double sofa bed and a single, and one single room. There are 2 bathrooms and an extra smaller kitchen upstairs which has been used previously when we’ve just rented out the top part of our house to Sabbatical Homes lodgers. Our kitchen/living space opens onto a patio and pretty garden. We are a couple in our early sixties, both classical musicians and teachers. Richard is a violinist, conservatoire teacher, chamber music coach and CEO of a charity which supports and nurtures emerging professional chamber musicians. Penny is a cellist and teacher who teaches at a specialist music school and plays in some of the top London orchestras as well as running a local concert series and childrens’ chamber music groups. Ten years ago, when we renovated the house, we built a self-contained music studio in the garden. We love living in this area as it is quiet and residential, yet nearby there are many great shops and restaurants on Stroud Green Road which has quite a lively feel in the evenings. We have a farmers’ market nearby on Sundays and there are fabulous bakeries, butchers, fishmonger, greengrocers etc in nearby Crouch End. Central London is incredibly close - we are 12 minutes’ walk from Finsbury Park tube and from there it is only 10 minutes by tube on the Victoria line to Oxford Circus. St Pancras International is a mere two stops away on the tube, from where you can get to Paris in 2 hours 15 minutes! Right opposite our house is an entrance onto the ‘Parkland Walk’, a green and wooded disused railway path where you can stroll or jog and feel far away from the city noise. You can walk to Highgate Village in one direction and to Finsbury Park in the other, which is a large park with a childrens’ play area, boating pond, tennis courts and café.

Comments: We are ideally looking for one single let for the whole period from 5th July to 6th September. This is our own large family home. We've had SH lodgers just upstairs where there is an extra kitchen. As a whole house this could suit 2 families
