Our flat is located on one of the most beautiful streets in downtown Budapest. It is in the "Palace quarter," where 19th century Hungarian nobility built lavish homes - one of the most stunning being the Wenckheim Palace, now home of the Szabó Ervin Metropolitan Library (with its famous reading rooms). In the early 20th century, the neighbourhood was the center of a vibrant literary scene, and one of its famous inhabitants was Mihály Babits, who lived in our building. The flat is located within short walking distance from the Hungarian National Museum, the Central Market, Vaci Utca, the Freedom Bridge, and Mikszath Square. The neighbourhood is lively, with many cafes and terraced restaurants nearby. The flat is extremely well-connected by public transport: subway lines M2, M3 and M4, trams 4-6, 49, 47, many bus lines, and direct bus service from Liszt Ferenc Airport. Walking distance to the major Budapest universities and institutes, including Semmelweis, CEU, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Pázmany, Corvinus, Technical University, and more. Please note that the loft bed is in the bedroom, so the flat is ideally suited for 1-2 people, or a for family with small-ish children that does not mind sharing the same sleeping quarters. Note also that the flat is on the top (3rd) floor of the building and there is no lift.
