Description
Lake Talon is part of the Mattawa River Park System and is 12 km long and very deep in parts; popular with bass, lake trout, pickerel, and musky fishers. Swimming at the cottage is excellent with a gradual approach and sand bottom. Our 3-bedroom, (including the bunkie that sleeps 3), 1.5-bath cottage has a large deck and a screened porch. The cottage is near Camp Conewango which has daily or weekly boat rentals. It may be possible to rent our pontoon boat. The cottage is in a secluded, quiet, peaceful place and provides the ideal setting for creating beautiful and memorable family gatherings. By boat, you can fish in several locations, swim at Grasswell Point, and visit the most difficult portage between Lachine and Grand Portage for Vogageurs at Talon Chutes. The cottage is 25 km from North Bay, Ontario via Hwy 63.
