A light-flooded, comfortable, 80 m2, 2-bedroom (or 1 bedroom plus office) apartment with full length south-facing balcony and panoramic views of the Bourse de Commerce (Pinault Collection) and the gardens beyond. It has been a happy, memory-filled home for scholars and couples. On the sixth floor (5ième étage) with elevator in an 18th c. apartment building, the flat is located in the 1st arrondissement within walking distance of the Place des Victoires, the Marche du Montorgueil food market street, the Louvre Museum, the Tuileries, the Palais Royale, and the old Bibliotheque Nationale (site Richelieu). A wonderful location to write, walk and enjoy the libraries, book stores, wine, food, art, fashion stores, and streets and gardens of Paris. The apartment has a good sized entry hall; an eat-in fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, gas cook top, stove, fridge/freezer; two bedrooms with plenty of closet space, one with french doors opening onto the south facing balcony with desk and convertible queen sized bed couch typically used as an office/guest room; the other with a queen sized bed and closets north facing over a classic and calm Paris court yard . There is a good sized living room also opening onto the south facing balcony and views over the Bourse de Commerce (Pinnault Collection)'s spectacular and recently renovated dome, with sofa and a dining table; a good size bathroom with bathtub/shower and a full-size washing machine and stacked dryer; and two separate toilets (WCs). Has worked well for many: from single academics to couples. Closest Metros: Louvre Rivoli, Bourse, Sentier, and les Halles. USD$2,800/month rent with a half month security-holding deposit at the time we both commit to the lease and we take it off the market with the balance of the security deposit due at or before the lease begins. We hold 300USD from the security deposit to cover an end of lease clean and professional clean/pressing of linens and towels. Rent includes building charges, taxes, water and sewerage and utilities (electricity, gas, internet). You are recommended to have personal contents-travel insurance. References always helpful. Minimum 6 month lease and we don't do part months. A full academic year works well for us. We have a good, reasonably priced cleaner we're happy to put you in contact with if of use.
