Description

We are writers, painters, teachers, librarian, gardeners, designers. We love it all. We moved to the Hudson area seven years ago, and love the artistic bohemian community. Designed for both indoor and outdoor comfort, our guest house has been newly renovated, freshly painted, all appliances updated, rooms with eclectic furnishings. A five minute walk to Warren Street for restaurants and shops, you’ll pass through a neighborhood going through a transformation. Vasilow’s Confectionary since 1923, Return Brewery, and Public Square...a few options on your way to shop down town. A private bricked courtyard provides an entrance to a warm home environment accommodating the chef to the writer during sabbatical. The very large, bright bedroom shares a sitting room/office with couch, desk, chairs, and television. The library is bright and is filled with books and magazines. Hudson history and hiking trail books are available to browse. The split bathroom offers individual privacy, with shower and sink on one side of the hallway, and toilet and sink on the other. Linens, towels and sheets, are plentiful. The kitchen is the original Ikea kitchen with red doors and circular pulls. All appliances are new, including washer and dryer. The kitchen table accomodates six guests should you entertain. If you can't find the right kitchen tool, let us know, I'm sure we have it! Utensils, bowls, plates, pots and pans are available. It is better to have a car as there are no "large" grocery stores nearby. However, down town has many small grocery stores, they are on the pricier side. Uber and taxis are few and far between. If you come by train, and I'm around, I can pick you up if arranged ahead of time. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
