Hello, our 3 bedroom fully furnished apartment is available to rent at 800 euros per week. This includes all utilities, a Smart TV with Netflix and Disney+, a washing machine and reverse a/c in the living room and a garage to park your rental car. However public transport is just a minute away. It's ideal for someone wishing to complete a body of written work. Cafes are close by. Place Nansouty is an 8 min walk and Place Victoire is a 5 min bike ride (we have a bike here and can arrange for another if desired). You can also catch a bus or tram into the city or walk. Capucins Market is even closer if you're a foodie. There are many bargains to be found here, not just in regards to food. It's open every day except Mondays. Rue Sainte Catherine, Europe's longest shopping street spans from Place de la Comédie to Place de la Victoire. It's also possible to ride your bike but it could be quite congested with pedestrians during summer. So if you're in a hurry, it's better to walk it. A small park is just next door to the building where our apt is. So a schedule of writing, people watching and shopping is ideal for someone wanting to both complete a project and see Bordeaux, a truly beautiful and historic city. After Paris it has more protected buildings than any other city in France. For those interested in history, it's really the ticket. There are loads of walking tours on hand to take but also just walking around the city will be of interest. From the Palais Gallien - a Roman ampitheatre ruin dating from the 3rd century to the submarine base used during the 2WW- to fabulous art galleries and cinemas to walking/riding/jogging the almost 7km of the quais alongside the Garonne. Sitting having a picnic and viewing the beautiful Pont de Pierre is one of our favourites and of course there's the famous Miroir d’Eau. Keep in mind, for wine lovers, Bordeaux is jam packed with caves (there's several within a 10 min walking radius of the apartment). Saint Emilion, a famous wine growing region, is only a 30 min drive away and most beaches are just under a 60 min drive. The Dune du Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe is a 1hr and 15 min drive from centre ville. Kids love running down it but so do adults! It's very close to Arcachon, a popular seaside resort, famous for its oysters. Ultimately, it's a city apartment in a safe and vibrant area. A nice view over the rooftops of old Bordelais buildings is a bonus, considering its location. We are looking to rent it to thoughtful and respectful people and considering the time of the year and its location as well as the fact that it's 3 bedrooms, the costing is reasonable.
