Casa Monita: writing Paradise and Family's dream

For the last 2 years we have been living in casa Monita; a 1,500 square meter fenced and secured property. We built most of it: a swimming pool, thinking of our toddler; a basketball court, for our teenage son, an Argentinian style brick barbeque for our Sunday asados. We have constructed this property with love and care and now is your opportunity to enjoy it. This is the perfect place to write that book that you have been thinking about, publish the article that you have not gotten the time to put together or simply reading that pile of novels. The house is big, comfortable and with all the amenities that you can expect from a house in a big city, but located in the sleepy beachside town of Potrero! It has 2 big bedrooms, one with a King bed and the other with a double bed. There is a third room adjacent to the main room but separated by a walking closet and a door. This room is a perfect office and/or a bedroom for a child that wants to be close to parents, but not that close. There are 2 bathrooms, one with double sink and a bathtub. There are 2 terraces, one overlooking the swimming pool and backyard and the other overlooking the front garden. The kitchen is totally equipped including an instant pot, a blender and Swiss-made pot and pans. Most of our tables and chairs are handmade by local artisans with wood from our own property or local guanacaste. There are ceiling fans in every room, and AC in all bedrooms, including the kitchen. For your working needs we have 2 desks and one office chair. Our internet is fiber optic, and it is incredibly reliable and fast. The Wi-Fi covers the whole property inside and outside the house. And talking about the outside, in the middle of the property we have a medium rectangular swimming pool and an outdoor covered dining area (rancho), which is where the brick barbeque is located. There, we also have three handmade-in-Nicaragua hanging chairs. At the back of the property, we have our guest house and the basketball court. The guest house is a studio that we use when we have guests -when you have a house in Costa Rica near the beach, you have a lot of guests- or that we rent via Airbnb. The house is located a mere 10-minute walk to beautiful, sandy Penca beach, and 5 minute walk to Playa Potrero and to the sleepy town of Potrero, where you can find a variety of restaurants and amenities. We are also at a driving distance from some of the world most famous surfing beaches such as Playa Grande, Playa Negra, Tamarindo, and some more remote, less known beaches. This is a calm and quiet area where you can enjoy peace and tranquility, appreciate Costa Rican fauna and have a drink with the sounds of the waves.
