Fantastic 2 bedroom apartment, extremely close to UCLH, University of Westminster, Central St Martins School of Art & Design, Birbeck. Newly refurbished 2 bedroom flat in a beautiful, historic Georgian house, built in 1820, once home of illustrator and satirist George Cruikshank. The flat has a comfortable living room with balcony, decorative fireplace and HD TV. Dining table seats 4. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. Second bedroom has a daybed that can be configured as 2 singles. Both with built-in wardrobes. All new furniture and appliances, washing machine, tumble dryer, induction cooker. Sparkling bathroom, Hansgrohe power shower & full size bath. Fresh linens. NOTE: This is a 3rd floor walk up. A rail project is on hold but you can see cranes at the back of the house. Trains pass by during the day but we have double glazing so it doesn't disturb us. Super sensitive people should be aware before booking. Camden Market is a few minutes walk away with eclectic shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Visit the charming Camden Lock, take a trip on a canal boat or walk up the hill towards Chalk Farm and the Roundhouse, a fantastic music venue. We are steps away from Koko, The Jazz Cafe and The Dublin Castle. The area has a rich history of live music. Further up is Hampstead, a beautiful and romantic village which is connected to Hampstead Heath, a huge park with amazing views of the London skyline, an open air swimming pool, ponds and a running track. You can also visit Kenwood House a 17th century stately home that has been used as a location for many films and period dramas. Closer to home we love Queen Mary's Gardens, a formal rose garden in Regents Park, perfect for a picnic. Coal Drops Yard, about 15 minutes walk towards Kings Cross, St Pancras which houses the offices of Google and Meta/Facebook. There are boutiques, a huge variety of restaurants, frequent pop-up events and an open air cinema by the canal. Conveniently the Eurostar runs from St. Pancras connecting the UK to France, Belgium and the Netherlands. There are several galleries in the neighbourhood and being very central you have easy access to everything London has to offer. Wellcome Collection near Euston is a free museum and library connecting science, medicine, life and art. The British Library is within walking distance. Illustrator and political caricaturist George Cruikshank lived in the house in the 1800's. He worked closely with Charles Dickens, there's a commemorative plaque and if you look carefully you can find an Oliver Twist paving stone outside the house. Conveniently Zipcar rental cars (VW Polo) are parked on our street in case you need to drive during your stay. Rental bikes also steps away.
