We have chosen to live in our family home for our retirement although it is too large for the two of us. Our daughters and their husbands and families live in the USA so we want to keep our home for visits. From Sept , 2024 to the end of May 2025 our daughters will not be visiting so we are pleased to be able to rent our fully finished suite. It is very spacious with natural lighting in each room except the bathroom (shower only). The kitchen is fully functional with everything you will need for meal preparation (including fridge and stove with oven, toaster oven, coffee maker and microwave). We provide bed linens and towels. Plus, you will have your own washing machine and dryer in your suite. It is one large bedroom with a king sized bed (queen size is in the picture but if you are a couple we will purchase a king size for your stay) and a desk and chair. We also have a single Aerobed which can be used by a visiting adult or youth. We are only a few blocks away from one of the most beautiful natural parks in the region. Pacific Spirit Park is between the city and UBC campus with ample number of well maintained pathways/trails. If you are a walker you will be about 1.5 hours walk from anywhere on campus or a 25 minute bicycle ride (we provide 2 older working bicycles for your use). Transit to anywhere is only 2 blocks from our home. For several years we have been a Superhost with AirBNB but for the winter months we prefer to have longer stays through Sabbatical Homes.
