Modernist top-floor apartment at the heart of Athens's historic centre. Situated in Thissio (https://www.thisisathens.org/neighbourhoods/thissio-locals-guide), on a chic, quiet residential street leading to Dionisiou Arepoagitou - the most famous pedestrian street of Athens (circling the Acropolis and the Roman Agora). The apartment's most unbeatable attraction is an enormous balcony with a mesmerising 360-degrees view of the Athens skyline, reaching all the way to the aegean sea, and of course, with the Parthenon right on your plate. The balcony is replete with dozens of plants, fresh herbs and trees (including a lemon tree, apricot tree, olive and fig tree -- all planted by my grandmother who lived in the flat for years before its recent renovation). Inside, there is a spacious living room with a double sofa bed, a bedroom with extra comfy double bed & original built-in wardrobes with 1970s modernist fittings; a separate fully equipped kitchen, and a stunning conservatory with a dazzling view of the Acropolis (which makes a perfect study). I wrote most of my own recent book from there during the pandemic, being very much inspired by the atmosphere and view! My ideal tenant would be a colleague from a university, perhaps in Athens on research leave, who will enjoy the feel of 'a home from home' and treat the place accordingly.
