Private Fully Furnished Basement in Shared Home near Birmingham

Description

I am a History Professor at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, looking for someone to stay at least for the academic year 2023-2024 (mid-August to the end of May) although the end date is negotiable should the person have any continuous academic assignments or projects in the area. While I consider myself to be friendly and amiable, I am also respectful of privacy and personal space. Offering the entire basement floor as a private space (private living room, private bathroom, and an office which can be converted into a bedroom if preferred). Alternatively, a private bedroom upstairs is available. The basement can be accessed by the garage if a private entrance is desired. Please note that as the laundry room is located in the basement, I will need access to this, but will give advance notice if so. You will also have access to the kitchen, living room, deck and backyard on the main floor. Please note that we have three cats on the premises, but they can be kept away from the private basement area if required.
