Scholar's Retreat in the Redwood Forest

Located in the beautiful town of Guerneville in the Russian River, nestled in the redwood forest, this house is the perfect home for a scholar looking for a retreat near Santa Rosa or in the northern part of the San Francisco Bay Area. The house is furnished while I (a professor in public health and medical anthropology at UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco) am away on sabbatical. The house has a new heating and cooling system (efficient and environmental) as well as high-speed wifi, and a large screen TV. There is a full kitchen that is open to a large dining room, living room with fold-out couch for visitors, bathroom, master bedroom, laundry, second bedroom (that could be used as a bedroom or an office, etc) as well as a large deck surrounded by the redwood forest. All windows look into the beautiful redwood forest, including the master bedroom large picture windows. The house is walking distance to the river, walking distance to a friendly post office and bakery, and driving distance to Santa Rosa, groceries, hikes, and wineries. There are two kayaks that the renter could use during their stay. Please see attached photos.
