We have a sunny, family-friendly, third-floor apartment in walking distance of the Turia River gardens and park (10k long), the City of Arts and Sciences, and Las Arenas beach. It’s in an amenity-filled, safe area ranked by the Guardian in 2020 as the third "coolest neighbourhood in Europe" (https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2020/feb/08/10-of-the-coolest-neighbourhoods-in-europe-paris-berlin-rome). It's newly renovated with modern living in mind, has two A/C units, radiator heating, polished terrazzo flooring, an elevator, Wi-Fi, and the walls are filled with original paintings. Groceries are a minute's walk away. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and plenty of closet space. A second bedroom contains a bunk bed and shelving, and is where our children have slept in the past. There's an office with a printer, foldout futon-couch for a guest, bookshelves, and a desk to work. The bathroom, with shower, is situated in a hallway between these three rooms. The central area is an open concept living and dining room with a sofa and loveseat, coffee table, kitchen table, and TV with Netflix and other channels. A small balcony overlooks a quiet street below. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and toaster. It's well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, spices, and anything else you might need to cook at home. In typical Spanish configuration, the kitchen leads out to a second balcony that faces the same interior balconies of the surrounding apartments. Here we have a washing machine and clothesline for hanging laundry. The home doesn't include a parking space, but spots can be rented from nearby parking garages. The city is very walkable or bikeable, and public transit offerings abound, from a streetcar and Marítim-Serrería Metro Station a few steps away, to two large train stations and the Valencia Airport accessible by subway. In addition to groceries, transit, the beach, and a quick bus or subway ride into downtown Valencia, dozens of small bars and restaurants permeate the vicinity, but not so close you don't get a quiet night’s sleep. Cabanyal Farmers' Market, open daily, is nearby, as is a microbrewery, gyms, a theatre, bookstore, bakeries, and public libraries.
