This is an amazing traditional Japanese 100years old home fully renovated to its original state near Minami-Asagaya station on the Marunouchi Subway line. There are 2 bedrooms, living room with a sofa bed and a traditional Engawa (sunroom) all looking into a private sunny garden. This entire house is available for rental from time to time when the owner is away and a Tatami bedroom available as a private room for most of the year. ** Highlights ** The house itself is 100 sq meters with very spacious rooms that will suit a total of 6 people. The kitchen, bath and toilet are all newly renovated but keeping true to the famous Meji Era. The house is fully decorated using Meji Era furniture and ornaments. Minutes to a beautiful park and walking distance to the Marunouchi subway line, this quiet family home allows you to relax in peace. The local area is full of diverse restaurants and bistros that are welcoming to visitors and first timers offering great menus in English at very reasonable prices. Convenience stores and supermarkets are within an easy walk. Included is fast unlimited WiFi internet for business travelers or heavy gaming teens. ** Bedding ** 2 x double bed comfortably fits two adults 2 x single futon for adult or children 1 Single Sofa bed ** Services & Amenities ** The kitchen is equipped with a gas burner, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge, kettle, pans, cooking utensils, plus crockery and cutlery for 6 people. We include complimentary coffee and tea. There is also washing machine, washlet toilets and everything you need for a relaxing and extended stay. Please note there is only one bathroom, one toilet. All essentials like soap, shampoo & conditioner, toilet paper, towels and linens are included. All you need to bring is your clothes and personal items. You will have full private use of the room and this is professionally cleaned between guests. There are always plenty of clean linens and towels. If you would like a cleaning and linen service mid-stay, let us know and we can arrange this for a fee. High-speed WiFi internet is inside the house.Bring a HDMI cable and connect your laptop to the TV. we provide you with a Netflix account and watch on-demand TV and movies. There is plenty of space for if you have large luggage or ski gear in the Engawa it might be best to ship these directly to your ski resort using a baggage service - cheap and reliable in Japan. If traveling with children, we can also recommend a wonderful English speaking babysitter who can take care of your little ones in the house while you experience the bright lights of the big city or romantic dinner. We have also included a selection of novels and travel brochures, walking maps and a Lonely Planet for you to use during your stay. We are happy to recommend out of the way places and local knowledge of our combined 35 years living in Tokyo. ** Neighbourhood ** The house is in a quiet and safe street but only 8 minutes walk from Minami Asagaya station which is just 6 stations away from all the fun and funky shops and restaurants in Shinjuku. But next to Koenji and Nakano station. From Shinjuku you can easily get to anywhere around Tokyo. The streets are fairly typical of suburban Tokyo and some urban hiking reveals interesting architecture as well as many green spaces. There is an amazing park 2 min from the house with one of the BEST SAKURA viewing with a beautiful river. On days when you want to stick close to home, the neighbourhood bustles with restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and other amenities.The cover walking only street that goes from Minami Asagaya to Asagaya station. There is a grocery store nearby perfect for stocking breakfast and for snacks, we suggest any of the nearby convenience stores which are open 24 hours few min from the house.
