Retired female nurse living in large two story historic Victorian home has room to share. Entire second floor is available and is ideal for a visiting academic or graduate student. Two furnished bedrooms and a bath with tub/shower are all yours. The area: Located in Old North Durham just a few blocks from the downtown scene - Motorco, Geer Street Garden, Cocoa Cinnamon, the farmers market are an easy walk away. You can also walk to Duke and the Duke Campus Bus is less than 1 mile away. The house is right on the city bus line as well. The Ellerbe Creek and AT trails provide hiking and biking close-by. The neighborhood is multi-generational and friendly. The newly renovated kitchen and first floor washer and dryer are available to share with owner. The backyard is great for grilling and hanging out with a barn on the property providing a great backdrop view. Free on-street parking is available which is rare in downtown Durham! The 5 year old Beagle/Hound mix loves to look out the first floor window and is regularly at doggie day care during the day. He is not permitted upstairs in the rental space.
