About Our Family: My wife and I are both working professionals who primarily work from home. I work in business development for a sustainability startup and she is a social worker. We have two kids - a 6 year old and 4 year old. We are looking to rent out our home for the first 5 months of 2024 while we embark on living abroad in Spain. We are open to anyone who will be respectful and kind to our home. Please reach out to discuss! Neighborhood: Located in the hilly, tree-filled, amazingly friendly Water Hill neighborhood just over a mile from the University of Michigan. We are a few blocks from Ann Arbor Open School, a public K-8 magnet school which also houses the Mack Indoor Pool, Ann Arbor's only indoor public pool. A quiet neighborhood, yet only a 15-minute walk to Main Street shops and restaurants; and a 30-minute walk to the University of Michigan Central Campus. The Ann Arbor Transit Authority's routes #32 and #61 are 2 blocks away (Pomona/Miller intersection) and go downtown and to campus. We are also walking distance from many nearby nature areas (e.g. Bird Hills) and a 45 minute car or bus ride (D2A2) to Detroit. House: Recently renovated one story mid-century modern home with open layout inside. Features include skylights, a primary bedroom with primary bath and closet, and two kid bedrooms. Laundry is also on the first floor! The house is fully furnished - this is our year-round home, so it will have everything that you need. Finished basement is also a nice place to be and it includes two offices (one is combination guest bedroom/office and the other is combination storage room/office), game room, family area, an extra bedroom/bathroom, and a TV/treadmill. Outside features include a deck and patio, both with seating for meals, lounging, and entertaining guests (including gas grill and fire pit). The front yard has some beautiful spring trees and flowers, while the backyard is quite large and a great spot for games or the kid's swing. In addition, we have kids scooters, kids bikes, and one adult bike (plus bike locks) that you can use while you are here. We will have some basic groceries for you so that you do not need to fret about this right away. Feel free to use any of the kitchen supplies that you find.
