Cute cabin-like house in the city

Description

I'm a multimedia journalist working in the climate change space. I've taught journalism and visual storytelling at the University of Montana, the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies and various locations internationally. I'm looking to rent my home out for the 2023-2024 academic year while I spend time closer to family in Ann Arbor. My house is only 1000 sq ft but feels larger thanks to vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and tons of light from multiple skylights and windows. It was built in the 1940s, so it has some quirks, but I've done a lot of work on it over the years -- new kitchen and bathroom, home office space addition, etc. I have two small kids (2 and 5), so it's definitely a family-friendly home (for a small family), but baby gates are critical for the upstairs and around the gas stove in the living room if you have toddlers. The upstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed and an office space. The downstairs bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a twin bed. The living room has a sofa bed. Kitchen has a dishwasher and garbage disposal. Washer and dryer in the house. There is a gas stove (that looks like a wood-burning stove) in the living room for heat plus mini-splits in the living room, upstairs bedroom, and downstairs bedroom for additional heat in the winter (and AC if it gets hot). There is no accessible basement (only the hot water heater lives there), but storage is available in the detached garage. The house has a fenced front and back yard, plus a patio, flower beds, an apple tree, and a raised bed garden in the front. Please feel free to ask any questions!
