I'm Kate, and I was an academic in literature for many years, now working as a writer. My husband Dave is a retired art lecturer, still painting, drawing, and writing in his spare time. We hope to go on several trips abroad next year, and would love to rent our much-loved seaside cottage to an academic couple or small family. The garden is great for small children, because it is fully enclosed. We have three bedrooms and a lovely garden studio, which I use as a writing room. It's beautifully quiet, and you can watch the birds in the garden while you work. We have a safe driveway, if you choose to rent a car.
