The Neighborhood Situated in Villeray, a family-friendly neighborhood whose pretty, tree-lined streets are studded with cafes, restaurants, independent grocers, public parks and locally owned stores. Within easy reach of two of Montreal’s most celebrated attractions: Parc Jarry and the Jean Talon Market. Families with small children can also enjoy Parc Saint-Vincent-Ferier, a small, shaded playground down the street that features sprinklers and other “water games” throughout the summer. Also nearby are the shopping areas of Marché Central and Rockland Center. Getting Around For public transport, the apartment is a block away from the Crémazie Orange line metro station, steps to the 31 bus along St. Denis, the 55 bus along St. Laurent, as well as the 100 bus along Crémazie. A Bixi bike station is a block away, on rue de Liege and avenue de Gaspé, as are access to numerous bike paths and lanes. If you are driving, there is quick access to the Metropolitan (highway 40) and major arteries, north and south, east and west Food and Drink The apartment is around the corner from a Vietnamese sandwich shop and gelateria (Nuri), two Italian cafes (Café In, La Saison Des Pluies), and a small gourmet grocer that specializes in craft beers but also stocks locally produced cheeses, charcuterie, breads, coffee, kombucha and other essentials (Veux-Tu Une Bière). Within walking distance are several bakeries (Boulangerie Jarry, Le P’tit Atelier, Patisserie Lajeunesse), more cafes (Café Oui Mais Non, Le Petit Brûloir), produce stores (Fruiterie Lina, Fruiterie Forcier, Fraichement Bon!), an artisanal butcher shop (Pascal Le Boucher) and neighborhood stores offering food and beauty products from Turkey (Marché Istanbul), Haiti (Meli Melo Market), and sold in bulk / involving zero waste (Epicerie Loco) . Either a short bike ride or longer walk from Asian grocery stores (Oriental Market Saint Denis), bubble tea shops (Chatime St-Denis), as well as Little Italy’s many pizzerias, supermarkets and cafes (Pizzeria Napoletana, Fruiterie Milano, Caffé Italia). For last minute needs, the apartment is half a block from a dépanneur (bodega), around the corner from a Starbucks and a 5-10 min. walk from two chain stores (Jean Coutu pharmacy and Provigo supermarket). Parking A private parking spot is not provided with the apartment, but non-resident parking is readily available, either on the street at the ends of the block or on an adjacent block.

Comments: All utilities included. We also include (and require) a monthly cleaning using our person at a time that is convenient. The apartment is fully furnished and well equipped/stocked with everything needed to start an extended stay in Montreal!
