I work at the University of Ottawa in the Faculty of Epidemiology. I am going away on sabbatical for a year, dividing my time between France and Italy. I am hoping to sublet to someone visiting Ottawa in a similar capacity, either working or student. The apartment is a great hub within the city. All within a 15 minute walking radius are... -Grocery stores (Loblaws, Farm boy, Independent) -Public Transit -Bike and walking paths -100's of restaraunts -The Byward Market -Elgin and Bank street -Sparks street -Parliament -The Rideau Canal (which turns into the worlds longest skate rink come winter, and is a UNESCO site) Across the Rideau Canal within a 5 minute walk away is the University of Ottawa. A short drive or bike ride away lays Carleton university and St Paul University. Across the Ottawa river lies Quebec and UQO. The Golden Triangle, my neighbourhood, is unique in that it feels like a village within the big city. Traffic calmed streets and friendly residents help give it this feel. The apartment itself is nothing to complain about. I don't hear my neighbours and sound isolation is great. The building can get hot so we recently installed a portable air conditioner, which really helps. I would be happy for you to make use of it when needed. Parking is included , and we can discuss utilities. Washing machine and dryer are located in the basement of the building.
