My name is Katherine, I work for the education department in Melbourne and my husband Ralph is a school teacher. We have two kids 8 and 10 years old. We will be spending four months in Geneva on sabbatical from Sep 11- Feb 1, but can be flexible with dates, and would love to find someone to enjoy our family home while we are away. Our house is a charming, characterful terraced Victorian cottage with three bedrooms and a lovely garden. It is light throughout, renovated with high ceilings, and all on the ground floor. There's an open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen looking over the garden, as well as three bedrooms and large bathroom with bath and shower. We have hydronic and ducted heating/cooling plus a gas fire. The small garden has a wood-fired pizza oven and covered all-weather eating area with table and chairs. We live in a leafy part of inner Melbourne, with park, cafe, shops, train and tram all just one block away, and a cinema, library, pool and the Yarra river bush trails all within ten minutes walk. We are 3km from the MCG, city and sporting precinct - 10 minutes by tram or 5 minutes (2 stops) by train. We have a car and carport and bikes you are welcome to use. We often cycle with the kids along the Yarra to the Children's Farm and cafe, Fairfield Boathouse and miles of bushland, or cycle the other way along the river to the city. We're also right by the Monash Freeway for escaping the city by car. We're relaxed and flexible, and look forward to meeting you!
