Our beautiful home is in New Paltz, NY located in the Hudson Valley 90 miles from NYC and easy to get to via bus, train or car. As you enter the home from the main entrance you are greeted by high ceilings, a beautiful stairwell, wood floors and light. On the first floor lies the kitchen, with a large pantry, a new dishwasher, and large table that sits 6 people. There are double doors that open into the separate dining room and another set of doors that open into a large living room that has a high vaulted ceiling, skylights, and a new gas fireplace. The den/TV room includes a couch which opens into a queen size bed and looks onto the front yard. There is a separate dining room and a newly remodeled full bathroom. The glass solarium is adjacent to the kitchen and leads onto the deck, the back yard, vegetable garden and woods. There are newly laid hardwood floors throughout the 2nd floor. The beautiful stairwell leads to 3 bedrooms. The large ensuite has a private bath, walk-in closet and looks out onto the front yard. The other 2 bedrooms have access to another full bathroom with a shower and a tub. Presently, one of the bedrooms is used as an office. We have a large deck which was built for entertaining and overlooks the back yard. The yard is a grassed and child friendly and our vegetable garden is fenced in and which is irrigated by a timed system. Our home is nestled in a lovely community of homes that offers a neighborhood feeling, young families, and a lot of privacy. Visitors and newer residents come to NP for a variety of reasons, from swimming in glacial lakes and cycling the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail to soaking up the rich culture and sampling the seasonal bounty of the many farms, orchards and wineries. Our schools are rated very good. We have a small, lovely friendly public library which houses many local events. The State University of New Paltz is a focal point in the town and it adds to the diversity of New Paltz. The campus is 1. mile from town and there a a New Paltz loop bus for staff, students and faculty. There are 2 supermarkets in town and and an excellent health food store.
